Celebrating Nursing Home Week

National Nursing Home Week is always a special time at Crown Pointe, but this year was extra special as we also celebrated Nurses Week at the same time. We made sure to take the time to appreciate both our staff and residents all week long.

We started the week with our staff and residents enjoying Tie-dye Day with a visit from the Kona Ice Truck, had Crazy Hair Day and a visit from the Coffee Truck. We continued the celebration with Hawaiian Day and had Crown Pointe Spirit Day, where our staff all got new shirts stating, "Behind every great nursing home is a great staff," and that couldn’t be more true at Crown!

On Wednesday, we had a Scrub-a-Palooza, while on Thursday, our staff's feet got pampered with foot spa kits. We finished out the week with an award banquet where each nurse was recognized with a special award about what makes them unique to Crown (and they were quite funny too).



We made sure that during this special week, our nurses were recognized for going above and beyond for their residents. They had the opportunity to shop for new scrubs while we ate some subs. The nurses' stations and medication carts were also decorated and loaded up with snacks daily. Lastly, we gifted our nurses with S’more gift packs because we really wish we had "S’more" great nurses like them!

Crown Pointe couldn’t be successful without our wonderful team, and we had so much fun recognizing their hard work and dedication to our residents. Every day, we try to live by appreciating each and every person on the Crown Pointe Team, and it made our hearts full to put together a fun week for them.
