Celebrating Our Activity Team

In honor of National Activities Professional Week, we wanted to highlight our awesome Activities Department at Crown Pointe! Thanks to our team of activity professionals, our residents get to engage in much more than just Bingo. Our activity programs are resident-centered, meeting individualized needs, keeping residents constantly engaged, and, most importantly, helping to improve their overall quality of life.
We would love to highlight our two incredible Activity Assistants, Mizzah and Diana! They both have been holding down the fort for the past few months while our Activities Director is away on maternity leave.
Mizzah, who also goes by MnM, is an Activity Assistant at Crown Pointe. Her first job in long-term care was in Activities. She is currently a student and hopes to continue growing her career in long-term care. She chose this career path because she is very passionate about improving residents’ quality of life and providing high quality affordable healthcare. If she had three words to describe her job, it would be rewarding, fun and insightful. Her favorite part about Activities is engaging with the residents and getting to learn their stories. Her favorite memory is getting to dance with one of our memory care residents during a live performance.
Outside of work, Mizzah enjoys listening to music, participating in various art forms and watching badminton. She also volunteers at a local food pantry. Her favorite travel destination is Vdaipur, India, or any European suburb. She has a twin sister who is currently going to school for nursing.
Diana is an Activities Assistant at Crown Pointe. Her first job in long-term care was as a State Tested Nursing Assistant. She chose to work in healthcare because it allows her to give back and help those in need. The biggest impact she wants to leave on the long-term care industry is to teach others how to care and be patient. If she could describe her career in three words, it would be fulfilling, exciting and rewarding. Her favorite memory is holding a New Year's Eve party for the residents.
Outside of work, Diana enjoys painting, cooking and dancing. She is passionate about simplifying life and being as creative as she can. If she had to pick a favorite travel destination, it would be Colorado. She is married to Sam, and they have three beautiful daughters. They also have a German Shepard named Ivor.
Diana and Mizzah go above and beyond for our residents to make sure they are always having a good time. We are so happy they are part of our team. Thank you for all your wonderful contributions to Crown Pointe! Happy Activities Professional Week!
