December Resident of the Month

Being a part of the Foundations Health portfolio, the largest healthcare provider in Ohio, we love getting the opportunity to talk about the incredible individuals inside our facility that make a difference every day. Residents, staff and all, we believe every person is here for a reason and impacts each other's lives. This month, we'd like to highlight our December Resident of the Month, Harold “Doug” Stacy!

Harold, who also goes by Doug, was born in Panther, West Virginia, in February of 1947. When Doug was a child, he wanted to be an Electrical Engineer, but ended up enlisting in the military when he was 18; we thank you for your service! He spent 18 months overseas before moving to Columbus, Ohio, where he has spent most of his life.



Doug’s favorite hobbies include antiquing furniture and looking at street rod cars. His all-time favorite travel destination is Hawaii. He’s been there four times but loves a beach anywhere! Doug is a big family man with two wonderful children – Lisa and Jonathan. He is also a grandpa to one beautiful granddaughter. His favorite memory growing up was any moment he spent with his mom.

Another fun fact about Doug is that he's a gigantic sports fan! He loves Ohio State football the most! Doug’s favorite food is any kind of homemade soup.

Doug has one word of advice for the younger generation, “Take your time and get your education. Work hard, and it will be worth it in the end!”
